Donating to Joe: why not right now?

9165 - 4X6The easiest way for us to raise money for Joe – and the most effective from the donor’s point of view – is a straight donation.

  • It’s easiest for us because we use the least number of volunteer hours and spend the least amount of money (for instance compared to selling T-shirts)
  • It’s most effective from the donor’s point of view because, of all the ways we fundraise, the donation is the one where the largest percentage of the donor’s spending goes straight to Joe

So, if you have not donated to Joe yet but intend to, why not do it right now?

You can do it right now online at Donate to Friends of Joe’s

Or you can send a check right now to:

Many thanks for your help in fundraising for Joe!

Donated Packers tickets for sale, quick, quick!

Now hear this! A wonderful and generous donor gave us two (2) great Packers tickets for the August 22 preseason game against the boastful but skilled Oakland Raiders at 7pm at Lambeau Field. It’s the best preseason game on the schedule, highlighted on national TV!

The Raiders lost the last time they came to Lambeau, but they are now telling whoever is willing to listen that they are planning to repeat their 1987 game when they won 20-0 – I’d like to see that! So come and cheer the Pack as they crush the Raiders on August 22nd. But, for that, you will need to make an offer quickly to buy these tickets – hurry and purchase them from us!

Gorgeous performance gear and T-shirts:-)

Logo aloneMike Waterfield designed an amazing logo for the Friends of Joe’s, which we are putting on great gear for us all to use.

We ordered some great drifit performance Paragon shirts, in Emergency Yellow, along with Friends of Joe’s T-shirts in Sport Grey, Irish Green, and Heliconia Pink. Buy one right now and pick it up at one of our next events!

Logo shirtsParagon Dri-fit performance shirts are very bright, in emergency yellow, a color that our children seem to love. They are made of 100% MicroFiber performance polyester. They use Screen-Tek moisture management and anti-microbial finish, and wick moisture away from your skin in addition to providing odor control. They have UPF 30+ Sun protection. They are perfect for our kids’ sports practices, and great as a workout shirt for us. I am grabbing a few for my bike rides, and some for all the kids’ sport practices!

Our short sleeve crew neck T-shirts  have an ultra tight knit surface, and taped neck and shoulders. They include a seamless double-needle collar, and are quarter-turned to eliminate center crease. Easy to size, they are comfy and fun to wear – just perfect for some time in the backyard, strolling into town, or just hanging around relaxed at home – check them out and buy a few.  Buy them right now!

Milwaukee Wave players are coming!

Ian Bennett 2The Milwaukee Wave players and Ian Bennett are coming to September 13’s Family Night at the Park!

Ian and his fellow players from the Milwaukee Wave professional soccer club will give an exhibition of professional soccer, interact with our youngsters, and play a small-side game against our local high schoolers.

Many thanks to Ian and to the Wave for being such good friends. They are good people. Come and cheer them, both at the Family Night at the Park, and in their games!

We need volunteers!

Three Amigos at Great America resizedIt is wonderful to see how many friends of Joe’s have come up and volunteered! We still have big planning tasks that we need to tackle.

Here are some:

  • primary FaceBook editor for Friends of Joe’s (in collaboration with the different activities group coordinators)
  • manage the apparel sales drive (several people needed; many volunteers will be available for the actual sales dates and locations)
  • coordinate Sept 13 Family Night in the Park event activities
  • Friends of Joe’s accounting, and money management on event days
  • investigate October 5 Family Walk/ Run/ Ride fundraising opportunity
  • investigate Halloween candy and Christmas ornaments fundraising opportunity
  • work with Kevan O to plan the November 16 Packers Party
  • and much more…

Please volunteer and let us know what you would like to do! We have little time to make it all happen and we really need your help.

You can also sign up for actual shifts running the September 13 event activities.

Don’t forget to give now to Joe’s fund if you haven’t yet.
